About
Invite Club, a web-based app similar to Airbnb marketplace, turned to Lengin after struggling with low-quality development. Our team restructured the application architecture, migrated to functional components, improved scalability, and fixed over 1000 errors. We also enhanced UX, implemented event drafts, and resolved SSL security issues. After eight months of collaboration, Invite Club now enjoys a robust, high-performance platform.
Challenge, approach, and impact
Disorganized codebase
The application had a mix of outdated and modern React code, with both functional and class components. This led to increased code complexity and difficulty maintaining and extending the project in a scalable manner.
Performance issues
The application faced performance bottlenecks, particularly in the React front-end, which impacted the overall user experience. Suboptimal code and the use of old versions of libraries, like Material-UI, contributed to these issues.
SSL certificate and security iussues
The SSL certificate management posed a significant challenge, including issues with the certificate chain, private key management, and ensuring compatibility with various browsers and devices.
Testing the App: Over 1000 Errors
Upon our engagement with Invite Club, the initial step involved conducting comprehensive testing of their application. The application exhibited numerous alerts, with Google Search Console alone reporting over 1000 alerts.
