Time to meet the Senior software developer at APP IT, Edin!

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

Usualy I spend time with my wife and chidren. Considering that we all love nature, forests and mountains, we dare to spend as much time as possible in walks and greenery.

We are currently in the process of building our family house, which is also in nature and outside the city, and we can't wait to finish it and finally start living in it.

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

My primary responsibilities are to fix existing bugs and problems, to develop new functionalities and to learn as much as possible about the system itself on the project I am currently working on.

Also, every day I try to stay up to date with the technologies and tools I work with. At morning, if I didnt finish work on previous task I continue to work on it, or ask for new one.

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

I have several hobbies. I like astronomy, photography and I also like to work on smart systems using micro computers, microcontrollers, sensors and so on. I have a telescope set up on the terrace.

During the summer nights, I often observe the planets in the solar system with my children. I also like to take photos in nature, and I spend some of my free time on the development of a smart home system that should be installed in the house we are building.

Why did you join APP IT, and what has kept you here?

I got a job at Appit at Faruk's invitation. After getting to know the people and the project I'm working on, I came to the conclusion that Appit cares a lot about its employees and at the same time offers that as an employee of the company I participate in the process of building the company itself.

This is interesting to me because the employees themselves participate in shaping the company and have the opportunity to fix things they think are not good.

What's your motto or personal mantra?

That a man must be persistent in life. Regardless of whether it is personal or business life, if you are not persistent, then your life will be shaped by others or the circumstances that surround you. If you want to achieve the goals you have in life, you must not give up if some failure occurs.

Failure is just as much a part of learning and development as success. As much as we learn from every success story, we can learn as much from every failure that befalls us.

What is the next life milestone you want to achieve?

I hope that we will soon start building a family house and that I will start living surrounded by nature and greenery.

We also intend to grow vegetables and fruits for our own needs and try to live the rest of our lives in a healthy way. I think that after the house is finished, I will be able to say that I managed to make my dream come true.
