Meet Tin, our COO and developer who is also a BJJ teacher.

Everybody likes the catchphrase “challenge accepted”, but we like “challenge completed” better! With the right people, any goal can be achieved. And by right people we mean those who aren’t afraid of different perspectives. That’s what our team is. 

Today when everyone claims they’re thinking outside the box, it is our belief there is no box. There are no boundaries when talking about creativity and ideas. We choose to believe in all of the great possibilities that our clients want to accomplish. Only then anything is possible and only a team that isn't afraid of the unknown can create a product that will stand the test of time.

Time to meet the COO at Kodius, Tin!

Can you tell us a little more about yourself?

Hi, I am Tin, born and raised in Zagreb. My first job was in software development firm, and from my first job, I have climbed up to the COO position at Kodius, one of the top 10 software development companies in Croatia. I drive motorcycles, do BJJ training and competitions, and teach kids in my free time. I am also an organizer of vue.js meetups in Zagreb. I especially love traveling and hanging around with friends. Some would say I am also a workaholic, but that people haven't probably worked with me in a team :)

Tin's everyday life at Kodius

What is your function at work?

At Kodius, I am COO and co-owner. In addition, as a team lead, I work for Optilogic, the platform for supply chain optimization.

What do you like about your role in Kodius?

I love my role because every day is a challenge, and there is always some new problem that needs solving. I am happy I can be surrounded by young, ambitious people wanting to become better every day. The atmosphere is always lovely, and people are always ready to help. The board is always prepared to listen to you and give you new challenges if you want to.

Some tips for future Kodius employees?

Go to school.

Don't be shy. People will help you, but think before you ask, sometimes, the solution is close, and the trip to the solution will benefit you the most in your growth.

What do you find the most challenging at Kodius?

Creating a whole platform for modeling, optimizing the supply chain model inside the cloud and having a motivated team ready for new challenges. In addition, the supply chain has enormous data, so getting that in the cloud is also a challenge

How do you describe your work personality to the personality of your home life?

I would dare to say Kodius is my second home. People are ready to help you even outside of the work and want to listen to your stories.
