Meet Tamara, a young Software Developer

Our company name originated from our values. Always striving towards the north and not looking south. We value the power of transparency and open communication since we believe only with this kind of agile approach we can achieve our goals. 

Collaborating with startups and mid-sized businesses helped us locate the biggest bottlenecks in time-to-market delivery. Since then, we channelled our focus towards adapting our engineers and teams into remote environments and onboarding high-performing individuals with multiple years of experience. If things go sideways, don’t worry, with us holding the compass, you’re on the right path.

Why did you join Nortik, and what has kept you here?

When I finished the Faculty of Technical Sciences a few years ago, I wanted to start my professional career as part of a small and ambitious team. I was looking for an IT company with a clear goal, where I could gain a lot of experience and where laughing is an essential part of everyday routine. Now, I have all of that!

These are the reasons why I've been in this company for years. I'm grateful to be a part of a company that provides me new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow continuously.

What do you like most about Nortik?

People. The right team is very important to me. Mutual support, advice, and team achievements are my favourite parts of working at the Nortik Software Solutions. The company culture is one of the main things I always pay attention to, and that's what I really enjoy here.

What is your favorite part about working for Nortik?

My favourite part is definitely when my team accomplishes some important objectives. We know that effort always pays off and we love to celebrate it! Our greatest award is the clients’ satisfaction.

How do you define success in life?

Setting concrete goals and always doing your best to achieve them is what success at work means to me. That includes overcoming fear and getting out of the comfort zone. All goals require smaller objectives to be achieved first, so for me, success is celebrating small victories.

In personal life, being successful means loving and being loved back.

Spending time in nature

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I'm a person who adores nature. I can spend a whole day away from home with my friends and family. That's something I absolutely enjoy!

I enjoy riding my bike around my city when the weather is warm. That's a good activity and at the same time a useful therapy!

I am a creative person, so painting, drawing, and taking great pics are all things I enjoy doing.

How do you balance your career at Nortik and friends & family?

Everyone wants to be successful at work, enjoy a healthy relationship, and be a reliable friend. It's hard, but with good organization everything is possible.

For me, it's important to set priorities and to plan things in advance. This saves time.
