What is the favourite part about working for Kamino?
 

We have a uniquely collaborative culture where my colleagues appreciate transparent communication and work well as one cohesive team.

This cultivates an amazing working environment where team members are always willing to help each other and share a few laughs in the downtime.

I sometimes make weird things that nobody really needs but look cool
 

What did you want to be when growing up?
 

Before gaining interest in computers and electronics I wanted to be a teacher. My interests sort of shifted more towards computers later on, but teaching people has stayed one of my passions.

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

There is always a new project or a hobby on the horizon. I've always had an interest in retro computing, though.

There is something magical about working directly with the hardware with almost nothing standing between your program and the CPU.

How did you first learn about Kamino?

I learned about it through my classmate during university. When I required an internship due to my studies, he invited me to join the team.

This was a crucial period to kick off my career through a big learning experience, where it was crucial to use the opportunity to ask questions and learn as much as possible from my colleagues.

How do you describe your work personality vs. your home life personality?
 

I would say they are the same.

Enthusiastic and happy to learn, always searching for new things to learn. Unlike the learning or training we do at school or through professional courses, continuous learning is never “finished”.

What have you gained from working at Kamino?

I acquired a lot of it technical knowledge, but also a lot of other kinds involving soft skills, for example: how to communicate with clients, how to properly deal with changes as a team and individual, and how to function as a unit even when the responsibility seems for one person.
