In your opinion, what are the hallmark traits of a great Data Scientist?

Having good technical skills as well as statistical thinking is implied when you are a Data Scientist. What's also very important is creativity. You have to know how to detect and extract the most important features of the data so you can use them in making good predictions. Last but not least is the ability to communicate your insights with your teammates and superiors.

What drew you to engineering? Have you always worked in Data Scientist roles?

The thing that is most important to me is that as a Data Scientist I am constantly learning new things. With every new project, you are exploring a new field. For example, if you are working on the gaming data you are learning about games, game strategies, and the gaming industry itself.

What do you find to be the most exciting aspect of PEAK Software?

I would say that flexibility and trust are the two most important aspects of the company. Flexibility to use the approach and technology you think is the best, as well as the trust in your skills and expertise.

How do you balance your career at PEAK Software and friends & family?

In Peak, you rarely or never have to work overtime, so balancing work life and private life is not an issue.

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

I like challenging myself and I like hanging upside down, so naturally, my hobby is aerial hoop. Lately, I enjoy spending my weekends outdoors, so combine these two and you got yourself a perfect weekend... :D
