Everup is a rewards platform that helps users earn cashback on everyday purchases through digital gift cards from over 250 brands. The platform combines a searchable gift card marketplace, secure payments, balance checking, and interactive games, creating an engaging shopping experience that turns everyday spending into rewards.
Challenge, approach, and impact
Multi-Platform Consistency & Web Recreation
Replicate the mobile experience on the web without dropping feature parity. The main hurdle was syncing the architecture and state logic between web and mobile teams so users could move between devices without friction or broken UI patterns.
Complex Financial & Payment Integrations
Integrate Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Revolut Pay directly into the custom wallet ecosystem. The work required handling real-time transaction processing, gift card inventory checks, and instant cashback calculations while keeping payment flows rock-solid.
Gamification & High-Load Checkout Engine
Build and scale core modules like the rewarded games section and gift card checkout. The priority was keeping response times low and preventing checkout failures during high-traffic promotional pushes and user reward drops.
