Implementation of a Data Vault architecture for a large retail organization, spanning multiple departments. The solution leveraged Databricks and Azure Synapse for scalable data processing and storage, with Power BI used for self-service analytics and reporting. Git was employed for version control and collaborative development across a larger team. Involved across the full delivery lifecycle, including data architecture design, business analysis, ETL development, and the creation of automated UAT tests to ensure data quality and alignment with business requirements.

Designed and implemented an insurance data warehouse solution using Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Power BI for reporting and visualization. Built resilient ETL processes to handle challenges from an unreliable source system, ensuring consistent data quality. Led the optimization of a highly complex legacy banking data warehouse built as a black-box solution with custom components and no documentation. The project required full reverse engineering from start to finish. Managed to successfully deconstruct & map the entire pipeline, preserving all embedded business rules while redesigning the ETL process for performance and maintainability. Achieved a 50% reduction in ETL runtime — from 8 hours to 4, while significantly enhancing operational efficiency and simplifying future support.
