Make your business even more awesome with Superawesome

Berlin, Germany - Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Superawesome, a global super-powered studio with a mission to enable design-challenged organisations to innovate and create. This remarkable team is making waves in the design world with impressive industry knowledge and a thirst to bring your product to life with next-level creations. Let’s find out a little more about them!

Design with a difference

Founded in 2007 in Novi Sad on the banks of the Danube River in northern Serbia, the boutique design agency Superawesome is a lean team of 23 totally awesome employees who are ready to solve design problems you didn’t even know you had. The studio is small but mighty—and they have big ambitions to help mid-to-large organisations overcome the barriers to innovation they might face.

Founder and CEO Milan Stosic believes that good design should be available to all companies. Each and every business out there deserves show-stopping graphics, and Superawesome is here to make that happen. As he sees it, his team’s job is to help people transform the ideas into reality through introducing new perspectives, improving existing products, or even rethinking them entirely. He says:

“We are in the business of finding creative ways of overcoming challenges which are keeping our clients at a distance from their success. Some of these challenges can be solved through design, and that's great. Others require different approaches, and we do what we need to to get the job done.”

Superawesome makes a strong addition to the Pangea universe, coming in with a stellar overall Pangea Score of 9.0/10.0. With a supportive company culture and dedication to helping clients solve problems they didn’t even know they had, Superawesome is really firing on all cylinders. Why don’t we peek under the hood, and see what makes this aptly-named company run?

A tight-knit community—even in a year of remote working

Superawesome is a tight-knit team, with an overall Team Health Score of 8.4/10.0. The company has an impressive 95% overall retention rate, and the team retention rate matches this. There’s a lot of talent in the team, with average team seniority of 8.8 years and an average employee tenure is 2.4 years.

The company prides itself on its culture, and when speaking to Superawesome employees, it’s clear to see that this commitment to creating a place where work-life balance is prioritised has paid off. Each and every Superawesome team member loves working there for different reasons—from the opportunities for development to the fact that hard work is encouraged and valued.

The team members we spoke to are delighted with the kick-ass managers. Former ice cream scooper turned UX designer Stefan says that it’s one of his favourite things about working at Superawesome:

“The impression that the management is always on the lookout for the best talents out there, which gives you confidence that there’s always going to be something new to learn, someone you can learn from and share the knowledge with.”

This statement is backed up by Superawesome’s management rapport score, an impressive 8.4/10.0. The team’s structure at Superawesome is, in their own words, “flat-ish”, and great trust is put in the staff—the general rule of thumb is that the most knowledgeable person on the matter should be empowered to make decisions. That faith in the team members’ knowledge and expertise has resulted in a happy team who feel trusted to do their jobs to the best of their ability.

The peer rapport is 8.8/10.0—which is partly thanks to the company’s strong company culture. When not living through a pandemic, the team regularly gets together for cook-offs, art workshops, and company retreats, with weekly team bonding sessions.

The team members love that they’re trusted to manage their own schedule and explore passion projects in their own time. Aleksandar, motion designer extraordinaire and self-proclaimed entertainment geek, says:

“Having the trust and encouragement that we manage our time ourselves, allows us to spare an hour or a few for our own explorations and studying of something of interest to us and our field of work.”

Zarko, developer and one of the only fully remote employees in the company, agrees:

“Fortunately, even before the current situation required remote work and cooperation, Superawesome had a system set up and a well-coordinated team that overcomes these problems easily and efficiently. Personally, the support I receive from colleagues, team leaders, partners in the company is, I often feel, unlimited. This makes work easier in every sense and reduces pressure.”

Superawesome is committed to the development of its employees, with 14% of the team gaining promotions every year. Allowing staff time to spend on their personal projects is all part of this, as is further training and development, for which there are 50 dedicated hours every year.

Certified awesome

But it’s not just the employees who love working with Superawesome. The company is certified excellent by their clients, too, earning an eye-opening score of 9.5/10.0 for Client Insights—a truly impressive feat! Clients are particularly keen on the team’s technical expertise and customer journey, for which they awarded them a perfect 10.0/10.0!

From eSports & gaming to apparel & fashion, Superawesome has designed logos, apps, and websites for 40+ companies across Europe and North America. These satisfied customers include global brands like Coca-Cola or Erstes Bank, along with plenty of local institutions like Gradić Fest street music festival and Digital Arrow, one of Serbia's leading indie game developers. Whatever industry you are in, Superawesome is clearly there to provide top-notch design support!

But don’t just take our word for it, let’s hear directly from some of their (many) happy customers:

“My experience with Superawesome over the past 3 years has been amazing. I feel like I have a true business partner who is flexible and has the broad range of technical skills that I need for any project.”

- David Glucksman, VP of Technology @ Delta Children

“In our 9 years as an organisation, we’ve changed suppliers plenty of times but in the realm of web design and development, we’ve never doubted that there is a better alternative to working with Sprawsm. They’ve delivered exceptionally.”

- CEO @ Enterprise/Corporation

“Well done! Our website looks great and we're very happy with the communication and management through the entire process.”

- Ed Joyce, VP of Business Development @ TriTalent Funding Group

“We have greatly appreciated working with Dragan, Milan, Marko, and the rest of their team for the last several years. The relationship is easy, productive, and enjoyable. Dragan's respect and engagement with the design industry is incredible.”

- Jake Janovetz, Owner @ Aligni Incorporated

Adaptable to your business

Superawesome has experience working with a wide range of businesses, from small start-ups to huge multinational companies—after all, every business needs design.

Once a start-up themselves, Superawesome knows how to work well with other new businesses. Working under pressure, producing top-class work under tight deadlines, and coming up with brand new ideas on the regular, Superawesome has been there, done that, so they know exactly what it’s like.

They’ve also designed websites for some of the biggest e-commerce names in Europe, filled in for agencies when they’ve been short-staffed, and have significant long-term relationships with multiple clients where the Superawesome team acts as an extension of the client’s one.

The team likes to design and build things from the ground up. Sometimes clients will come to them with one idea of what they’re looking for in mind, and they’ll end up getting something even better than what they expected. For the team, it’s essential to identify what the problems are and then devise solutions to address them, rather than the other way round.
