About
Bioma, a brand within the Kilo Health group, approached us with the need to launch a fully functional eCommerce store within a compressed timeline, ahead of a critical peak sales season. The store was expected to support both one-time purchases and subscription-based products, while fitting into Kilo Health’s evolving internal ecosystem.
Challenge, approach, and impact
Platform choice ambiguity
Magento and Shopify were both under consideration, each with different implications for integration depth, customization, and long-term scalability.
High performance expectations
The new store needed to meet strict performance and SEO standards, including fast page loads and optimized frontend behavior.
Tight delivery timeline
The desired launch window (2–3 months) conflicted with typical eCommerce build timelines of 3–6 months, increasing delivery risk.
Cross-team collaboration requirements
The project required close daily collaboration between multiple teams (product, architecture, design, development), shared tooling (Jira, Slack), and aligned ownership.
