Large-Scale Microservices Platform — Software Engineer
Worked on a large-scale, microservices-based platform with hundreds of thousands of users and thousands of requests per second. Developed and maintained backend services using Spring Boot, following clean architecture principles and ensuring high performance and reliability. The infrastructure was containerized with Docker and orchestrated using Kubernetes, with Helm charts for deployment management. The entire system ran on Google Cloud Platform, leveraging Google Cloud Storage for file and image handling and Vimeo for video streaming. Utilized PostgreSQL as the primary relational database, along with Redis for caching and OpenSearch (with OpenDashboard) for search and analytics. Integrated various third-party services including Stripe (payments), SendGrid (emails), Mixpanel (analytics), RevenueCat (subscription management), and more. For observability and monitoring, the platform used Sentry for error tracking and Honeycomb for distributed tracing and performance insights.
