A highly critical healthcare system used within the UK National Health Service (NHS). The solution was primarily built in Ruby, using multiple frameworks, serverless components, and AWS infrastructure. The project included a large-scale migration from on-premise systems to the cloud. The system managed sensitive patient data, including medical records, files, and radiographic data, and was actively used by healthcare professionals. Due to its critical nature, the platform required high availability, strong security controls, and strict regulatory compliance. Work included complex system upgrades, dependency and library updates, penetration testing, and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Additional responsibilities involved optimizing and refactoring very large databases and implementing asynchronous processing using Ruby, Sidekiq, and AWS Lambda. The final solution operated within a complex infrastructure directly connected to the NHS network.

An end-to-end architecture design and implementation of a fintech product built from scratch. The system was developed in Python and followed a service-oriented architecture. The platform integrated with multiple payment providers and processed large volumes of data across a multi-channel architecture. Responsibilities included defining the overall system design, core structure, and infrastructure, as well as providing technical leadership and solution architecture throughout the project lifecycle. The product successfully evolved from an early-stage startup into a scale-up with an established revenue stream.
