We designed and developed a sports recruiting web platform — think LinkedIn for athletes. It connects players, clubs, agents, and scouts through professional profiles, performance ratings, and activity tracking. Built to support the full athlete journey from youth to pro, the platform launched with a focus on basketball and is set to expand into soccer, football, baseball, and ice hockey.
Challenge, approach, and impact
Create a platform supporting multiple user types and flows
The client required a platform that would serve players, clubs, agents, and scouts — each with distinct onboarding flows, profile structures, dashboards, and permissions. We had to ensure smooth interactions across all roles while keeping the system coherent and scalable.
Structuring career data and applications
We faced the challenge of designing a flexible system for athletes to build structured career profiles and apply to open positions, try-outs, and camps worldwide. The goal was to make profiles both informative and competitive, while ensuring easy application tracking for both players and recruiters.
Enabling direct, secure communication
The platform needed to support real-time, private messaging between users including players, agents, and clubs, without relying on third-party tools. Implementing secure, role-based communication in a decentralized ecosystem was both a technical and UX challenge.
