ETA+ is a cloud-based platform designed to help building owners and managers optimize energy efficiency using digital twins. The platform faced scaling challenges as its user numbers and data increased. We completed comprehensive app re-engineering, resulting in improved scalability, faster performance, and more efficient data handling, which positions the platform for future growth and enhanced energy management capabilities.

Challenge
ETA+ is a sophisticated and expansive platform with numerous integrations and vast amounts of data. Its primary function is to aggregate data from various smart home apps and devices, processing it to create reports for building owners and managers regarding building efficiency. Over time, the large and monolithic solution could not keep pace with the growing business needs, which included a huge increase in users and integrations.
The client's input
The platform was built on an outdated and unsupported AngularJS framework, with numerous third-party integrations and manual data collection from thousands of systems and indicators. The fragile monolithic architecture struggled to support the growing platform, which required improved scalability and efficiency to meet increasing demands.
