Nextbank provides cloud banking services to 30 banks in Southeast Asia. Their bank-in-a-box solutions offer 10 web and mobile white-label products, enabling custom banking apps in under 10 weeks. Miquido's was tasked with creating a new version of it's native Android mobile banking application. The new mobile banking app had to be accessible, secure, and easy to develop and maintain for our partner – and, thus, for their clients.
Challenge, approach, and impact
Third-party integrations with local providers
Nextbank mobile banking focuses on the Asian market and requires seamless integrations with local payment, KYC, remittance, and insurance providers. Building a secure and compliant microservices architecture involved selecting reliable providers. Miquido aimed to strike a balance between security, performance, stability, and user satisfaction for our client.
Compliance with OWASP security standards
Nextbank required a cost-effective, scalable software that met OWASP security standards. Miquido suggested rewriting the app with Flutter, ensuring agility and efficiency. Despite emerging technology limitations, we developed the feature-rich mobile banking app using Flutter's cross-platform SDK, prioritizing data protection, privacy, and security.
Universal, user-friendly white label app design
Nextbank needed a competitive mobile banking app for diverse users and devices. The app required user-friendly dashboards, core fintech features, scalability, and easy customization for clients. A minimalist, functional design was crucial for the white label app's sales process.
