About
Streamlining second-hand retail with centralized product search. A growing startup in Sweden, Circulaire has an unique mission: to bring together second-hand retail shops under one digital roof. With sustainability in mind, they aim to collect product information from various shops and present it to users in a single app, offering an eco-friendly shopping experience.
Challenge, approach, and impact
From website onwards
Circulaire aimed to inspire users to buy second-hand products by showcasing the CO2 emissions and water usage saved compared to buying new. This feature aligned with their vision to reduce the planet's carbon footprint. While their website included Lucene-based search functionality, it lacked essential user features like registration, watchlists, and the ability to pin favorite items, limiting user engagement.
