Quicken, a pioneer in personal financial management software, received services from First Factory to migrate its legacy React codebase to modern React with hooks, build new features for Quicken and Simplifi, and develop proofs of concept using Next.js and Django REST.

A legacy codebase behind two growing products
Quicken's website and its newer Simplifi product both needed a modern, maintainable front end, but the existing React codebase was built without hooks, making new feature development slower and testing more difficult across both platforms.
