Led the development of an AI assistant to support claims processing for a major Dutch insurer operating under strict data governance constraints. Designed and implemented AI functionality capable of parsing full PDF claim packages—including emails, structured forms, and scans—and generating structured, context-aware responses. Focused on high-impact use cases such as missing document alerts, clarification follow-ups, and client-ready rejection emails. Built a secure, offline-ready environment and a data pipeline that structured complex inputs for analysis. Contributed advisory on AI model selection, hallucination control, regulatory alignment, and future knowledge retrieval strategies. The solution improved operational efficiency, reduced manual workload, and demonstrated the insurer’s ability to safely adopt AI in sensitive, compliance-heavy domains.
