DO OK partnered with Opt-E, a Norwegian company focused on industrial energy optimisation, to build a custom software suite that replaced manual workflows with a centralised, digital system. The solution includes tools for project management, technical calculations, and third-party integrations, resulting in improved operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
Challenge, approach, and impact
Opt-E SCAPE System
A system developed to optimize pump and fan energy consumption by combining automation technology with domain-specific algorithms to process sensor data in real-time. The system calculates savings on energy, cost, and emissions while ensuring stable plant performance. It includes a user-friendly dashboard for visualization and an automated reporting module for operational gains overview.
Opt-E Portal Project Module
A central hub within the Opt-E portal for managing project data, pump serial numbers, and relationships between different system components. Engineers can enter data directly into the platform, eliminating spreadsheet-based workflows. It also supports deployment on the client's self-hosted infrastructure with Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration.
SCAPE Calculation Module
An integral part of the Opt-E portal that guides engineers through inputting pump characteristics and performing technical calculations based on proprietary formulas. The module generates reports quantifying energy savings, CO₂ emission reductions, and financial benefits for technical offers to clients.
Integration with Third-Party Systems
Development of integrations with key third-party systems such as Jira, SharePoint, and TripleTex. These integrations automate tasks like generating task trees, creating project-specific folder structures, and syncing financial data across projects, enhancing the overall impact of the solution.
