Rankfor.ai set out to define a new category—AI Visibility/GEO—by analysing how brands are represented across AI assistants, generative search engines and recommendation systems. DO OK designed and delivered a secure, modular proof of concept combining domain scanning, ontology clustering, persona simulation and dashboard insights, built to withstand rapid LLM evolution and meet enterprise-grade standards.
Challenge, approach, and impact
Defining an entirely new problem space with no existing tools
As AI assistants became primary discovery channels, traditional SEO no longer reflected how brands were represented. No tools existed to measure visibility inside model-generated narratives. We set out to create a framework to analyse digital footprints, cluster them into meaningful structures and understand how AI models interpret brand information.
Operating in a rapidly changing AI landscape
LLM models, endpoints and behaviours changed frequently. Stability, reproducibility and governance were essential even at prototype stage. The challenge was to build a system capable of meaningful evaluation while AI surfaces evolved monthly.
Balancing exploratory R&D with enterprise-grade engineering
Rankfor.ai had to be more than an experiment. It needed to handle real-world digital territories, support persona simulations, provide traceable metrics and demonstrate architectural discipline. Our goal was to build something that would survive rapid iteration without collapsing as new features were added.
Creating a modular foundation that could scale into a product
The system had to support multiple independent workstreams: scanning, clustering, persona generation, simulation, reporting and governance. Each needed to grow without introducing circular dependencies or architectural drift.
