Challenge, approach, and impact
Creating a dual-purpose B2B/B2C platform
RacePower needed to serve two distinct customer segments through a single platform: individual car owners (B2C) and professional repair shops (B2B). These segments have different needs, purchasing behaviors, and expectations. Individual customers typically purchase smaller quantities but require detailed product information and visual guidance, while repair shops need bulk ordering, specialized pricing structures, and efficient reordering systems.
Complex product configuration requirements
Car modifications and accessories are highly specific to vehicle makes, models, and years. RacePower needed a sophisticated configurator that could accurately match parts to specific vehicles while providing a user-friendly experience. This required developing an intelligent system capable of filtering thousands of products based on vehicle specifications while preventing incompatible combinations that could lead to customer dissatisfaction and returns.
Multiple payment and delivery integrations
To serve the Swiss market effectively, RacePower required integration with numerous local and international payment and shipping providers, including DataTrans, TWINT, DPD, DHL, and SwissPost. Each integration presented its own technical challenges, documentation requirements, and testing protocols. Ensuring these systems worked flawlessly together while maintaining a smooth checkout experience demanded meticulous planning and implementation.
