FinanzIA is a SaaS platform built by Ciancoders to automate accounting workflows using OCR, deep learning, and intelligent document processing. The system connects to Guatemala’s SAT tax ecosystem, ingests DTEs automatically, classifies transactions with AI, generates accounting books, assists with bank reconciliation, and provides real-time VAT shadow declarations.
Challenge, approach, and impact
Heavy Manual Data Entry
Accounting firms spent hours manually entering SAT DTEs and tax documents, leading to operational bottlenecks, limited service capacity, and increased human error.
Lack of Automation in Local Tools
Existing Guatemalan accounting software lacked OCR, AI classification, or automated book generation, hindering efficient handling of high document volumes without repetitive manual processes.
Delayed Fiscal Reporting
Manual workflows caused delays in generating accounting books and VAT reporting, impacting firms' ability to forecast tax obligations and detect discrepancies promptly.
