Challenge, approach, and impact
Structured Data Extraction
Defining and modeling the fields that matter to a financial agent into a consistent structure to turn inconsistent documents into clean, comparable data.
Source Traceability
Implementing source traceability for each extracted value to point back to where it was found in the original contract, allowing agents to verify numbers against the source quickly.
Human Control
Ensuring that the system surfaces and organizes extracted values while allowing the agent to make the final decision, avoiding nudging the agent to accept values without a path to verify them.
Pragmatic Technology Stack
Utilizing a standard, maintainable backend (Laravel and Python services), an AI extraction layer, and a user-friendly interface designed for contract readers, avoiding exotic dependencies for easy handover and extension.
