We built a web-based logistics platform for Kruzer Logistics automating the full workflow - from order intake to invoice generation. It integrates with TLN Planner for route and toll calculations, automates CMR document management with photo uploads, handles job costing with driver and subcontractor assignments, and auto-generates invoices based on completed routes.

Challenge, approach, and impact

Manual Order Processing

Transport orders arrived via email and were manually entered into spreadsheets, creating data entry errors, delays, and no centralized visibility into current and historical orders.

Complex Route & Cost Calculations

Calculating precise distances, toll costs, and route segments (Export, Empty, Import) required manual lookups in external tools like TLN Planner, consuming significant time and introducing calculation errors.

Fragmented Document Management

CMR (Convention Relative au Contrat de Transport International de Marchandises) documents were stored inconsistently - sometimes as photos, sometimes as paper - with no systematic validation or central repository.

Labor-Intensive Job Costing

Assigning drivers and subcontractors to orders, calculating fuel costs, toll costs, per-kilometer pricing, and additional equipment charges involved manual spreadsheet work prone to errors.

Time-Consuming Invoice Generation

Creating invoices required gathering data from multiple sources (order details, CMR numbers, route calculations, cost breakdowns) and manually formatting documents, leading to delays in billing and cash flow issues.

Lack of Performance Analytics

Without centralized data, Kruzer Logistics could not analyze transport performance by route, truck, driver, or time period, limiting strategic decision-making and cost optimization opportunities.
