Challenge: Our startup testing company, BetterQA, faced a significant challenge when a client we were supporting in the United States expanded its operations to Europe. This geographical transition introduced various complexities, including language differences and regional variations in WiFi settings, which required careful consideration. Scope: To address this challenge, we, BetterQA, were engaged by our client to provide testing services. Our professional team swiftly adapted to the unique needs of this expansion. Our responsibilities encompassed a range of testing types, including regression tests, smoke tests, and spot tests, all aimed at ensuring the quality and reliability of the products our client was working with. One of the notable aspects of this project was the eight-hour time zone difference between our team and the client's team. Despite this hurdle, we managed to maintain effective communication using platforms like Slack, Confluence, JIRA, GitHub, and Bitrise. This not only bridged the geographical gap but also ensured a streamlined workflow that consistently delivered outputs on time. The project's success is evident in our ability to execute testing flawlessly, adapt to the unique challenges posed by the geographical expansion, and uphold effective communication despite the time zone differences.
