W.A.G.E. is a U.S. based organisation that has the goal of regulating the payment of artist fees in the nonprofit sector. Whitesmith helped develop their most recent website and platform to provide artists fee requests, based on required each institution budget, and certifications for institutions that are compliant with W.A.G.E. requested values. The main challenges centred around designing said platform with a bold aesthetic that reflected W.A.G.E.s identity while not compromising readability, and developing it having as its basis an already existing React.js codebase that needed a refactor. João was responsible for all the UX/UI process, as for the implementation of the design in the codebase, while helping in the refactor process. Read more

“Wear your NFT” is the main motto of nftees. A brand that creates digital and physical garments based on one's own NFTs. Whitesmith, in collaboration with its sister company Blocksmith, designed and developed from scratch a platform for that effect. Built with Vue.js, the platform fetches the NFTs from a wallet connected through Metamask and then allows its users to unleash their creativity, by designing their own garment in an intuitive editor. That design can be then converted into a new NFT or a real piece of clothing.
