The app is the SaaS evolution of the aSISt used by more than 500 European financial institutions. Data security is a top priority, and thus, the solution meets rigorous legal and safety standards. General challenges to regulatory reporting obligations
Regulatory reporting obliges banks and other supervised financial institutions to prepare periodic reports for supervisory authorities, e.g., NBP and EBA. The dynamically changing legal regulations, expanding the scope of collected data, and the imperative for robust sensitive data protection and confidentiality maintenance involve modern cloud-based solutions which continuously monitor and update.
Data security
Financial institutions collect and process various types of data, including sensitive data. Therefore, apps for regulatory reporting must meet stringent security standards.
App's rare usage vs. cost-efficiency in cloud infrastructure
Reports are prepared in special apps, which in practice are used by bank employees for a short period of time. Depending on the type of report, it may be, for example, three days per month or twice a year.
SaaS product owners must keep stable apps on standby, which are actually only used for a few days, and at the same time ensure continuous access for many supervised institutions (in multiple instances).
