Introducing Our HR Manager Superstar: Marta Staniszewska!

Marta comes from Poland, but she graduated from Universidad de Granada, Spain, with a Masters in Psychology, and she specialized in work psychology at the University of Santiago de Compostela. She participated in many different projects, which allowed her to learn about human behavior and relationships on a multi-level basis, especially in the field of human resource management. She became a Particle in March 2021, when she came back to the professional world after her maternity break. Now, she is our HR Manager and put into practice what she learned about secrets of recruitment, career counseling and communication in the company. After work she is a full time mommy spending time with her kids, Franek and Jagoda. She is also a Spanish language teacher, which is more like her hobby than a second job!

Why did you join Particle Forward and what has kept you there?

I joined Particle Forward after maternity leave. It was a bit of a coincidence, but I am very happy to be part of this great team. 

I liked the philosophy and values of the company, and it is for me a huge challenge to be part of PF, as we are just starting and learning new things every day.

What are the unique challenges of your role and how do you overcome them?

My role, HR manager, is challenging, as I work with and for all the people in our company. 

Perhaps the most difficult task was creating policies of the company from the beginning; we wanted it to be something practical, not just words written in the pdf file.

What is your most memorable moment at Particle Forward?

There are a lot of memorable moments at PF… I like our Company Events but also I like our dailies, conversations and presentations. I enjoy and learn a lot from these meetings!

How do you spend your time out of work hours?

I have kids so I spend my “free” time with them, in the park, forest, or in the lake, as I have a lot of great places close to my house.

When are you happiest?

Difficult question... maybe when I look at my kids when they are sleeping…

What are your top 3 life highlights?

Hm… all my university years were the best years of my life, my children’s births, and the last one still is in the future ;)

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

An astronaut on a mission in space!

If you could witness a historical event live, what would it be?

It would be the Woodstock Festival in 1969! Once I talked to a man who lived it, and wow, it was an amazing event!
