Here goes Jakub, the consultant who knows that life is too short to deal with nonsense.

Let's learn more about him!

Posing for the official office photo!

What is your role at Lundegaard?

I work as a consultant, so I help our customers refine their thoughts, set up a strategy, take the next step, and advise them what to do and what not to do. I primarily support them with keeping up to date on technological advancements or integrating innovations that will accelerate their business and set new goals and visions.

In addition to working as a consultant, I help with the presale phase and offer preparation. Thanks to my consulting role, I have come up with solutions for customers that have added value both for them and for the target user.

Why did you join Lundegaard, and what has kept you here?

I joined Lundegaard primarily because of the culture and people I knew from my previous job. The fact that Lundegaard is not a big corporation, but also not a small start-up gave me the certainty that my voice would be heard and there would be potential for growth.

I was also looking for a shift in my career. That worked out really well, I joined Lundegaard as a project manager and now I purely consult. So I can conclude that it was the right choice for me.

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

My primary responsibility is to build long-term quality relationships with our clients, to create strategic themes and goals that Lundegaard will address, and last but not least to point out things that don't work or could work better :-D

So every day I dedicate myself to our customers, with whom we come up with new strategies, products, platforms, etc. that could change the world :)

What drew you to the consultancy department? Have you always worked in consultancy roles?

My career development is very varied. In the beginning, I focused on development and programming. However, that always drew me to customers and communication with them, so I then continued as an analyst, then a purely business analyst.

My engagement continued in the position of project manager, where I was anchored for many years. I completed most of the training and collected most of the certificates available :-D. I have seen inefficiency in many projects and an unclear goal of how the project should help the company or their customers.

The move to consultation was then a very clear goal for me: I wanted to go to help clients, work on projects that make sense, and help them be better.

Enjoying an outing in the wilderness

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I spend most of my time outside the office with my family. We try to live life to the fullest and be there for each other. We spend most of our time in nature with various tours and activities. When I have extra time, I spend it on a bike (downhill and singletracks). I spend the rest of my time doing home improvements and creating my own projects (currently working with wood).

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

What is important to me is the feeling that what I do is exactly what I currently want, what is right for me. From the point of view of longer plans, I want to focus more on the creation of wood products (such as tables, benches, shelves, etc.)

Top three life highlights?

If I don't take my birth as the highlight, then surely they will be the following three:

- Meeting my wife

- Birth of my daughter

- Birth of my son

I could definitely find more, but these are the most important.

Exercise has always been part of my life

What is the best vacation you’ve been to?

Traveling is a part of my life, constantly learning about something new and regularly struggling to move my comfort zone is important to me. Therefore, my best vacation was a two-month trip through China on my own. It was a completely new experience for a European that cannot be described and must be experienced.

What's your motto or personal mantra?

The best way to predict the future is to create it!

It is my motto that expresses everything. I don't rely on others and I don't criticize what's going on around me. Only we can change what does not suit us and how we set our path.

And because I'm an IT man, my vision of the future is to see the world better, smarter, and more sustainable thanks to technology.

If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?

Life is too short to deal with nonsense.

A snapshot of one of many adventures!
