The graphic designer who knows the most about K-pop and Supernatural

Florencia Ferreiro has been working at Capicua since 2014, and we’ve seen her with more than 8 different colors in her hair. She has excellent attention to detail and an exceptional understanding of the latest trends.

What is your most memorable moment at Capicua?

The morning I got my degree, I went to work straight after pulling an all-nighter to complete my project, and the first thing I did when I got to the office was accidentally spilling coffee all over my keyboard. I don’t know how, but I was able to fix it.

Why did you Join Capicua, and what has kept you here?

I joined Capicua when I was 19! It was my first work experience, and I was looking to get into the industry after wanting to be a graphic designer for most of my life. What has kept me here are the people! I’m very comfortable working with the team, and it’s great to work in a positive environment where we can have fun while doing our work.

What has been your favourite project at Capicua?

We had lots of fun making handmade notebooks a few years ago! I had no idea what it was at first, but when I held his hand, I had a lot of fun and perfected my technique.

What are three words to describe Capicua?

Improving, Evolving, Friendly

How has Capicua helped you in your career development?

I was still midway through my associate degree when I joined Capicua, and I improved tremendously once I started working here. I had lots of help reviewing and finding my schoolwork hits and misses, and my schedule was considered so I wouldn’t miss any classes. The school was a kickstart, but working is what made me learn, and it is helping me a lot now in my current bachelor’s studies.

We keep evolving and learning new things, new software, new techniques, and we share them with each other to improve together.

How do you spend your time outside the office?

I take singing classes, do embroidery or makeup, and design fan art inspired by whatever show or band I like the most at the moment.

What are some of the unique challenges you face in your role, and how do you overcome them?

When I’m insecure about my work! But I keep studying to make sure I have a reason behind every decision I make. I never get tired of learning new things.

What are your top three life highlights?

Getting my degree, adopting my cats, traveling to New York after saving money for a long time!

What skill would you like to master?

I would love to be able to draw! I think it would be beneficial in my career and also enjoyable.

What's your next step or a few goals you'd like to accomplish in life?

Getting my bachelor’s degree! I also want to improve my drawing skills and become a tattoo artist. I tattooed myself last week, and I can’t wait to do some more! It’s pretty addictive.

How do you define success in life?

Tough question. I’ll probably change my mind, but right now, I think being content and stable is being successful.

What did you want to be when growing up?

I’ve wanted to be a graphic designer since I was 11! Before that, I wanted to be an architect, but that changed when I found out there were maths involved.

Describe what you were like at age 10:

I was tremendously quiet and spent all the time reading books. Probably a Harry Potter book for the 500th time. What times those were!

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

Jeon Jungkook! The most talented man on earth. He is a South Korean singer-songwriter, composer, and producer; member of my favourite band BTS.

If you were an animal, what would you be?

Probably a peaceful house cat. I have two cats at home: Iker and Magnus. I admire how brilliant they are. Also, they are the most loving creatures I’ve ever met. I’m pretty obsessed with them; in fact, I got them tattooed on my arm.

What is the first concert you attended?

I went to see an Uruguayan band No Te Va Gustar, back in 2007 or 2008, I think. It was incredible! God, how I miss concerts!
