Time to meet the Junior front-end developer at CyberLab Solutions DOO, Anđela!

What drew you to development? Have you always worked in front-end roles?

I have always been interested in the field of engineering, programming and general computer science. That's what lead me to first enroll in studies of applied computer sciences and later to start working in the industry as a frontend developer first.

Apart from working at CyberLab Solutions, my experience consists of a full stack internship at another company.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

Most of my time outside the office is spent hanging out with my friends and family. I enjoy spending my time outside and in nature. Apart from that, I love reading, mostly dramas or thrillers.

I also try to take some time and learn new things connected to my field of expertise outside of work, which I think is important in order to succeed and further my professional career.

How has CyberLab Solutions helped you in your career development?

As someone who started working here freshly out of university, this company has been an amazing place for learning and developing my skills. It has not only helped me to develop my skills as a frontend developer but also to improve general things such as communication with clients, better undestanding of how projects work and how they are organized.

I became more confident in what I do and work generally helped me to further the knowledge I gained at university.

How do you balance your career at CyberLab Solutions and friends & family?

I think I have a pretty good balance here because I don't have the unnecessary preassure of working overtime. I like to be organized, disciplined and to finish my tasks in time, so I don't have to think about those things after bussiness hours.

My time after work is reserved for my social life or for my personal interests, whether those are connected to my proffession or something completely unrelated. CyberLab as a company enables me to have this balance by not putting unnecessary preassure on me and by enabling me to be free to organize my work however it suits me best.

Andjela Djuric, Frontend developer

What did you want to be when growing up?

As a kid and a teenager I had many interests. Of course, as a little girl I firstly wanted to be a dancer or a doctor, but then later on as I grew up I developed an interest in history. I read countless books, watched as many history documentaries and knew hundreds of fun facts connected to history. I wanted to explore ancient cities, discover how people lived in the old times. Life has lead me in a completely different direction which turned out amazing, but history is still a big passion of mine even though I can't devote as much time to it as I used to when I was younger.

What is the favourite part about working for CyberLab Solutions?

My favourite part about working at CyberLab is how good our team culture is. We are a group of young and driven people who want to advance in their careers. Each one of us brings something new to the team and I think we have a really good place to learn new skills.

As a junior frontend developer I was given the opportunity to not only learn about programming and web development, I get a peek at other jobs in the industry and learn about different technologies, new advancements in the field just from casual conversations. This gives me the opportunity to develop new interests along with furthering my knowledge at my current position.
