Time to meet the Product Owner at Looming Tech, Aleksandra!

What has been your favorite project at Looming Tech?

This would be Run Grateful.

The project kicked off a few months before I joined Looming tech, and I inherited Run Grateful from a co-worker.

It's a mobile app that urges you to move with gratitude. We are often driven to do things because of society's norms and values: to get fit, to be healthy, and whatnot, which in some sense is fine when it makes you feel good.

What Run Grateful is all about is to be present in the moment and able to reflect on the good things you have in your life, be able to share this gratefulness with others, and dedicate your activity to someone you love.

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

My responsibilities include Product Backlog management which consists of the epics, features, and user stories. Understand and assess customer value, creation of the Product roadmap, communication with the customers, partners, and the Development team, and negotiate priorities with the Stakeholders.

My day-to-day looks like this:

• Standup Meeting
• Get the urgent and essential things done
• Sidebar with developers to clarify emerging issues
• Update the product backlog
• Meeting with shareholders

How do you define success in life?

Success is not a destination, and I would like to measure it by the satisfaction and happiness of the things I do daily - in personal or professional aspects.

Maybe the best way to evaluate how successful you are is to compare your present self to your past self and how much freedom you have - and how much freedom you give.

How has Looming Tech helped you in your career development?

Looming tech is considered a small company in size, yet the people working in the company are pretty colorful, and you can learn something new from each one of them.

We work on different projects therefore, we all come with a diverse background, which is fantastic because you can always find someone to help you and answer your questions.

In addition, I am lucky to be part of a great department where we share ideas and knowledge. We can access different learning venues and platforms to rev our careers.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

This would be a slice of bread with strawberry jam.

The key ingredient here, of course, is the strawberry jam because it's a homemade one, done either by my grandma or mom, but definitely with the strawberries in my grandma's garden.

This particular variety is more than 50 years old, and I have never tasted more sweet strawberries in my life (so far).

What are 3 words to describe Looming Tech?

Flexible - you'd often see different problem-solving approaches, change managment but moreover as a fully remote company, Looming tech is flexible and consistently emphasizes the importance of work-life balance.

Adaptable - to change the course and rethink strategies, processes, and approaches.

Innovative - looks for new ways to do things and isn’t afraid to go against the status quo
