Time to meet the Technical Lead at Grapefruit, Vladut!

Why did you join Grapefruit, and what has kept you here?

The defining thing was that a lot of the good programmers and friends I've met throughout my career have been working here for a long time.

Another aspect was the fact that the company has in its portfolio important and diversified clients from the market and I was looking at that time for a new challenge.

The things that kept me there, besides the ones mentioned above, are the very good organization and the quality of the people.

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

My work schedule starts at 9 a.m with a cup of coffee and daily meetings. From here my activity is divided into development tasks, support for the development team, internal/ client meetings depending on needs and other activities/emergencies that may occur during the day on projects.

What do you like most about Grapefruit?

Transparency within the company is something that I really appreciate. Every employee is aware of all the actions and directions towards where the company is heading.

What's your favourite quote, or motto?

My favourite quote would be the one from Ayrton Senna: "I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence."

Summer road trip

When are you the happiest?

I can say that I am happiest when I am surrounded by family and friends. I also feel fulfilled in those moments when my work is meaningful and appreciated.

What has been your favourite project at Grapefruit?

I enjoyed working on all the projects in which I was involved, but my favourite one would be for sure the financial education platform "Money School", a challenging project from which I had a lot to learn.
