What is your role at ElifTech?

I’m a business development manager, who provides initial consulting, supports the entire negotiation process, and helps with the onboarding of our clients.

Communication lies at the core of my responsibilities: I show our clients how they could innovate and grow with ElifTech. Also, I try my best to have all challenges properly identified, analyzed and solved.

What do you find to be the most exciting aspect of ElifTech?

Well...if I had to pick one, I guess that would be teamwork. I’m absolutely in love with the team spirit that you feel the moment you step into the office of ElifTech.

Folks here are super-talented, open to new ideas, and ready to support you when needed. Real team players focused on reaching the common goal rather than proving their "stardom" to someone else. There’s always an energy exchange that I appreciate.

What’s been the most memorable experience during your tenure so far at the company?

ElifTech does a really cool job with the team building.

Once we went climbing with our team and had so much fun together! I cannot remember any specific moment; rather, the whole period we spent together comes to my mind and makes me want to smile. And perhaps, the fact that I outdid my male colleagues is uplifting as well (laughing).

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I'm an avid reader. No matter how strict my schedule is, there's always time for an interesting book. Willingness to learn more about my profession and this world in general drives me a lot. I don't have a favorite book, but the last one that captivated me was "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand.

Besides that, I'm a sports lover. One day, I even did a half marathon. I also enjoy yoga and horse riding, and I recently got my diving certificate. All kinds of active rest appeal to me.

Before working at ElifTech, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I used to be a team leader on a few non-formal education workshops in Germany, Georgia, and Estonia, which were supported by the EU. These were devoted to the subject of intercultural communication and diversity.

Such experiences expand your personality dramatically and teach you to walk into other people’s shoes, which is super-helpful both at work and in private life.

How do you balance your career at ElifTech and friends & family?

My team is very supportive and flexible, which makes it easy to devote time to loved ones and enjoy various hobbies. People here care about results more than about being in the office with a fixed schedule.

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

I’m into the mountains! During the winter season, I go skiing. Other times it is hiking, camping, or rafting. My family is never bored with me (laughing).

Active kinds of rest like hiking are a perfect means for Iryna to recharge for new deeds.

How do you describe your work personality vs. your home life personality?

I’m very organized and focused at work, spontaneous, and easy-going at home.

Though different it might seem at the onset, from my perspective, these two personalities enrich one another and eventually become a puzzle of one. For instance, I enjoy taking care of my son, doing a lot of exciting activities and creative stuff with him, which, in turn, makes me a caring employee attentive to the details.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Ballerina. I was absorbed by watching “Swan Lake” and the graceful movements there. When I grew up, I switched to some other dancing styles, and I still dance for fun at home, especially while cleaning or cooking.

If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be and why?

I’d like to meet Henry Ford. His autobiography and the impact he has had inspire me. Definitely one of the most prominent personas of his epoche. So I wouldn’t mind chatting with him for a while.

If you were to write a self-help book, what would the topic be?

«Intercultural communication». That’s an interesting and up-to-date topic at the time when our world turns into a global village.

The more I communicate with customers from around the globe, the more I see how differently we perceive the same things, depending on our mentality and culture. The capacity to understand and respect others’ views is super-important nowadays.
