How did you first learn about Untitled Kingdom?

As a recruiter, I browse through many job offers, so it is rare for a vacancy ad to impress me. Yet Untitled Kingdom’s job descriptions did just that. They were incredibly meticulous, intriguing, and engaging.

After a quick research and discovering that one of the UK’s areas of expertise lies in FemTech (Female Technology, meaning technology focused on women’s health), I decided to apply. It’s an area that I deeply value and find extremely important.

What have you gained from working at Untitled Kingdom?

I have gained a sense of independence. In the UK, I genuinely feel that I can implement my ideas. That I’m being heard. We determine how we work as a team, and by following the company’s main principle (Experiment. Fail. Learn. Repeat), I can afford to look for new solutions and focus on improving the status quo.

Additionally, every day, I have the opportunity to test myself in various areas. So I get to grow and deepen my understanding of how the entire organization works.

Systematizing the recruitment process was certainly not easy. Thankfully, Dominika was up for a challenge!

What was your most challenging yet the most rewarding project at the Untitled Kingdom? Did you use any specific tools to overcome the challenge?

The biggest challenge for me was certainly systematizing the recruitment process.

It was demanding for all of us as a team, but we have managed to develop a transparent and easy-to-navigate system that helps all the UK citizens engaged in the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding process.

It made my job easier, allowing me to focus on different areas, and it improved the experience for all the candidates.

What advice do you have for prospective Untitled Kingdom candidates?

If you hesitate, just ask. I can guarantee you that each member of the UK family will always answer your question, be it about your job or just day-to-day tasks. Regardless of your level of experience. Personally, I am open to all the questions (I’m very active on LinkedIn!) and provide extensive feedback to all the candidates.

We treat each and every candidate with respect, understanding, and individual approach throughout our recruitment process. Our job applications now include additional thoughtful and engaging questions to get to know every person who contacts us truly.

At Untitled Kingdom, we put less value on directional education or certificates and focus more on the personal qualities that fit well within the whole company as well as the willingness to develop. We know that the progress of each citizen means success for the entire kingdom. 👑

Dominika “just hanging out” in Israel vs. “just smiling” at the top of the volcano. What else can you do? 😉

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

I want to convince myself to go to the gym, but as much as I’ve tried… it’s just not for me. Commuting, staying in the queue, loud ads on TV… I can’t focus!

But I LOVE dancing! I started with party dancing, then went on to do some cheerleading, and, currently, I’m very much into salsa. Dancing in high heels is a whole other kind of workout!

Also, my plan for this year is to try surfing, so I’m planning to return to my swimming lessons. 🙃

But my biggest love is traveling. Be it crossing the Tatry mountains, eating seafood in Spain, trying out pasta in Italy - if any of my friends is up for a trip, they do not have to convince me, just let me know when and I’m ready!

And, of course, music! It may or may not be a complete coincidence that my initials are DJ. 😎

What is the next life milestone you want to achieve?

I want to buy a small, cozy house with a garden full of palm trees, somewhere in the south of Europe. I love the Southern climate, the food, the sea, and the flora! That's my idea of retirement.

Top 3 life highlights?

First, becoming a dog owner. It’s probably the best decision I have ever made in my life. Of course, a puppy can turn life upside down, and it can be very demanding, but my BB truly makes everything special. 🐶❤️

Second, anytime I agreed to go on a trip. Even if it was a last-minute call, and I only had a ticket and a small backpack. Sure, I experienced my fair share of problems and unexpected situations, but the places I’ve been to (and the dishes I ate!) are now one of my best memories!

Last but not least, quitting university! I know it may sound crazy, but when I was at the university, I quickly realized that I was doing it solely because of peer pressure. Luckily after just a few weeks, I realized the direction I want my life to take, and I never looked back. A year later, I picked a different specialization and ended up graduating with great grades. Just… at my own pace. On my own terms.

What’s your favorite line/quote/dialogue from a movie?

I have a movie quote that is very important to me:

Dominika may not be Jack Nicholson, but the “The Bucket List” mindset is certainly relatable!

I’m not proud of all the things I did. And I’m not happy about everything that happened to me. I lost my ticket to a live show I was excited about, I took a train in the wrong direction, and made some not-so-great decisions, but... I wouldn’t change a thing!

I appreciate the unpredictability of it all, and I like my adventures. I’m hoping for more!

If you were to write a self-help book, what would the topic be?

The title of my self-help book would be “Take it easy!” 2020 has been stressful for all of us, but it’s precisely why we should learn to let go of our worries and leave in a moment.

Did it get cold and you did not bring your jacket? Did you miss your bus on the way to the meeting?

Don’t be the type of person who will let things like these bring out the worst in you. Take it easy, que sera sera!
