Time to meet the Director of International Relations at Preezma, Nareg!

Why did you join Preezma, and what has kept you here?

I joined Preezma after learning a bit about the leadership within the company. Their professionalism is nothing less than what I've seen with larger software development companies from the western world. Some of the reason that kept me here is the company culture as well as the interesting software developmental projects they bring on board :)

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

My hobby is playing the guitar, I'm relatively connected with many talented musicians in Armenia, and they keep me motivated to continue playing. This also lead to me getting back into producing music and music videos for artists in Armenia!

Some of my weekend activities are going hunting/fishing with friends, camping, Khorovats gatherings as well as hiking!

What did you want to be when growing up?

When I was younger, I wanted to build things or become a doctor. The idea behind this is because I like to help people; sometimes, I find myself to this day giving more than taking, and that is quite ok.

This mindset stemmed from later stages in my life, from being involved with many nonprofit organizations in Armenia beginning nearly 20 years ago. Everything from developing a scholarship program for students in Vyots Dzor (Philadelphia Armenian Scholarship Fund) to my recent years in developing initiatives supporting the community in the city of Gyumri. There is still much work left to do!

Do you recall any embarrassing fun moments at work?

Unfortunately there is a couple of these moments :)

I used to play the guitar a lot when I started working at Preezma, and we would have impromptu concerts! I never really played in front of an audience of the years I've been playing the guitar, so when this would happen, I would be sweating profusely 😅

I'd say another moment(s) was when I tried to make a toast (kenats) all in Eastern Armenian 🤣

The one time I agreed to speak in front of a group 😄 

What’s your next step, a few goals you’d like to accomplish in life, or while with Preezma?

Some of the goals I want to accomplish is to further develop better processes within the public sector in Armenia. The more efficient processes implemented, the more desirable Armenia will be as a place to live and come for vacation!

In the future, I also have plans to develop companies operating within Armenia and to create as many jobs as possible!

What is on your wish list for the next five years with Preezma?

My plan for the next five years with Preezma is to scale up the company to unparalleled heights further.

I believe with the help of my efforts, Preezma can lead the way in software development where many other software development companies in Armenia (perhaps even globally as well) will follow similar processes that we've been implementing and new processes we'll be developing and implementing!
