Meet Ena, Pixion's new designer!

Pixion is a company that values graceful solutions, and our approach internally is no different. We want to grow as engineers and the best way to do that is to surround yourself with only the motivated and the intelligent. End goal? Well, becoming a status symbol among development agencies seems worth our while. What Pixion is doing can hardly be described as revolutionary. After all, we are together to get some satisfaction in knowing that we’re doing something meaningful.

Time to meet the UX/UI Designer at Pixion, Ena!

What drew you to design? Have you always worked in UX/UI Designer roles?

I’ve always been interested in pretty much all aspects of visual expression. I started drawing at a young age, as most kids do, and never really stopped. After graduating from Art Academy I worked as an illustrator and only recently got into UX/UI design. I find it fascinating because even with all its limitations and rules it still requires creative problem solving and allows me to explore and apply elements of visual language such as color, contrast, balance, hierarchy, etc.

What have you gained from working at Pixion?

Pixion has proven to be an amazing workplace where I can further develop my skills. Working on challenging projects motivates me to always do and be better. I’m constantly learning about new and interesting topics and techniques so that I can introduce them to my everyday workflow. By working here I’ve gained confidence in what I do, and feel like I’m advancing professionally.

What do you like most about Pixion?

The people! From the very first day everyone’s been nice to me and greeted me with enthusiasm. I feel like I can ask about anything I need help with, work related or otherwise. I’ve gotten a bunch of recommendations for things to do and places to go, which is very helpful as I’ve only recently moved to the city. Work atmosphere is great-relaxed but inspiring.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I like discovering new places around the city so you would often find me snooping around secluded little cafes and shops. I also enjoy art and theater so my schedule is filled with plays and exhibitions.

When are you the happiest?

I’m probably the happiest after a long (and successful!) workday, wrapped in a cozy blanket sipping tea, next to my cat who has miraculously decided not to be a bully that day. Either that or when I’m out with my friends.

Describe what you were like at age 10.

I was an adventurous little kid obsessed with all things computers and art. Not much has changed, I guess.
