What is your role at Tooploox?

I’m an Agile Project Manager. I support our teams in better providing value to our clients and helping our teams reach their full potential.

I also help Tooploox with various processes, including prioritization and sharing feedback across the company.

What are your three most overused words/phrases?

• “By the way...”
• “In my opinion…”
• “Absolutely…” (I ain’t Gia Gunn, but…)

How do you balance your career at Tooploox with friends & family?

It’s fairly easy to do, to be honest. We have flexible working hours, so if I need to take care of my friends or family, I can do so just by planning it ahead of time and letting everyone know what I’m up to.

Sometimes we need to stay through the afternoon and into the evening if our client has only just woken up to start work, but thanks to that I have the freedom to wake up later in the day or just work shorter hours the following days.

I always have the option of working remotely, so it has never been a problem to visit my hometown and work from there.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I’m rather a bit of a homebody, so I pick my hobbies accordingly. I like to play video games, board games, and roleplaying games (big kudos to my Dungeon Masters and my fellow adventurers!).

But I also enjoy dancing, especially vogue.

How has Tooploox helped you in your career development?

I started my journey at Tooploox as a lawyer, following my formal education. After a year, I saw an opportunity to make a move into our Delivery team as PMO, and thankfully, I got it! As an organization, Tooploox was very supportive with my transition and I haven’t encountered any obstacles.

The leaders of both teams (both my previous one and a new one) were open to my proposition and helped me make it real.

In general, I’ve learned a lot at Tooploox and I feel I still have a lot to learn.

Are you an iPhone or android type of person?

Definitely an Android type of person. I don’t like to rely on one ecosystem and want to have more options in customization and different service providers.

Apple is great, but they’re exclusive for their devices, they don’t have any real competitors. With Android, there are plenty of competitors within its ecosystem, so we can see and take advantage of different ideas on the market.
