Dana has been with us since the company was founded 3 years ago. She was already a skilled front-end developer and has since proved to be an A-player appreciated across various assignments.

Her Mamba mentality makes her a great role model for junior colleagues and a fierce opponent on the basketball court—and any sport for that matter.

Why did you join FXBITS and what has kept you here?

The very first thing that attracted me to FXBITS was the people who make up the company. I consider this to be a crucial aspect and here I found a great team of professionals, full of energy and ideas and eager to make a difference with their work.

For me, the company and the people in it should also be like a second family, and that's another box that FXBITS has ticked from the beginning. We work hard, but we also know how to have fun together, and that is something that has helped us never lose touch, even in times of pandemic and increasing remote work.

Being part of the company from its early beginning, allowed me to see it grow and to participate in its development. This is a place where you can make your voice heard and where bold ideas are not only welcome but also encouraged. For this reason, I see myself being part of this team for the long run, as I feel that we can still accomplish a lot together.

What have you learned from working at FXBITS?

FXBITS allows me to step out of my comfort zone on a regular basis. Constantly challenging and improving myself has helped me a lot in both my professional and personal development, and the fact that we have experts in both technical and interpersonal areas makes the company a great place to learn.

What is your favorite part about working at FXBITS?

I love how much emphasis is placed on the importance of communication. Here, each of us is the driver and we are all encouraged to speak up, share our experiences and give feedback for and about the activities to improve ourselves individually and as a group.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

In my spare time, I try to be as active as possible. One of my first thoughts, when I leave the office in the afternoon, is: ‘How many steps have I taken today? Should I take the bus or walk home? Doesn’t matter, I’ll just take a few more steps ‘.

Office life also has its downsides, and since I sit at a desk for a large part of the day, physical activity is very important to stay healthy and I try to incorporate it into my daily routine.

I feel that in these modern times, it's easy to overlook the aspects of life outside of the digital bubble. That's why I like to try new sports and explore different activities to find the ones where being active is so much fun that it doesn't feel like a chore that you just have to do.

How do you define success in life?

I think success is something different for each of us, and it all depends on the goals that we set for ourselves. My focus has changed dramatically over the course of my life, but I think if you are happy with what you are doing, and that goes for all life plans, you can call yourself successful.

When are you the happiest?

When I am around the people I love.

Seeing them achieve their goals, make the most of their lives, and work on their dreams gives me a feeling of happiness that can't be compared to anything else. I love seeing people happy and it also motivates me to pursue my dreams and work for the future I want to build for myself.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

That’s easy, chicken with rice, just ask anybody in the office! 😅

What’s your motto or personal mantra?

‘Be the change that you wish to see in the world’ - the wise words of Mahatma Gandhi.

If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?

The tales of an overly happy extroverted introvert.
