Introducing the Backend Developer at Hypernova Labs, Enmanuel!

Meet Enmanuel. He just recently joined the Hypernova Labs team as a back-end developer and has been thriving ever since! Today, he is an essential part of our team, working to deliver new applications and continuous development of our Software as a Service system. When he is away from the computer, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their dogs, while visiting towns nearby.

Why did you join Hypernova Labs, and what has kept you here?

I just recently joined Hypernova, reaching my third month and so far, has been a great experience.

I was looking for an opportunity to work at an international company remotely so I can be anywhere, be part of a great team where you can learn new skills, meet new people a new culture, a whole new experience overall.

It feels like be part of a family and that’s something you can’t always find in a company, so it feels good to be here.

What are some of the unique challenges you face in your role, and how do you overcome them?

Since day 1 there is a new challenge, maybe is new functionality or it is a problem-solving related to an ongoing project.

Now, because we are a good-sized team, there is always some that can help you, doesn’t matter how busy everyone is and when there’s no one that can help, you have access to quality insight that helps with your investigation and problem-solving skills.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I usually get to see my girlfriend because we live really close to each other, it is a 5 min walk. We watch a lot of movies, and we visit a lot of places like restaurants, little towns.

We also spend a lot of time with our dogs, we like to take them on walks, pet them.

When are you the happiest?

When I spend time with my family and friends and when I play the drums at the church and when I sing.

How do you balance your career at Hypernova Labs and friends & family?

My family knows not to disturb me while I’m in office hours unless it’s necessary.

They provide me with enough space for me to concentrate on getting things done as if I were at the office, also my dogs have learned!

Are you an iPhone or Android type of person?

Mostly Android because I think they have better specs, but you have to respect the iPhone camera for sure!

Do you have an office nickname? What is it?

Not yet, but I am hoping for one soon!

What's your motto or personal mantra?

I don’t think I have a personal mantra, but I could say “to always look for the bright side in any situation”.

You only live once so you have to stay positive and be happy.
