Let’s get to know Ania, the person that makes sure every part of our production stays flawless.
Since beginning to work for Miquido more than five years ago, Ania has seen a small software house become the established business it is today, and she’s been a vital part of the team all the way throughout the journey.
What’s your role at Miquido?
I am the Head of Delivery, which means I am in charge of production in the company and all the people involved – developers, designers, Q&A, and so on.
I’m responsible for a variety of different things, from communicating with the teams and answering their questions to improving different processes like development, management, and communication with clients and teams.
I have many diversified tasks to handle, but I find it fun, honestly! I have an opportunity to talk to basically everyone in the company, and there are over two hundred of us now, so I accumulate a lot of information.
Why did you join Miquido and what has kept you here?
I joined Miquido 5 years ago. Before that, I used to work at a design startup where I was responsible for both project and account management, and I wanted to focus on the latter. I was given that opportunity at Miquido.
Back then, there were about 50 people working at the company, so it was still quite small. Miquido seemed like a good place to work and develop, and it managed to stay that way throughout all these years, so that’s why I’m still here!
It’s the atmosphere and space for personal growth that truly make the place. I myself had an opportunity to move from project manager to project management lead, and then to head of delivery. There’s space to do almost anything you want. If you have an idea and you know how to implement it, then you have the freedom to do it.
What was your favourite moment while working at the company?
Most of my favourite moments are related to our in-company parties or team bonding, and it’s hard to pick just one. That said, I think very fondly of the moment when we were changing offices: we moved from this crowded, small office into this almost fancy, huge space. It was really nice to observe the company grow like that.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Recently I’ve taken up bouldering, which is a type of free climbing. It’s a lot of fun, and a challenge at the same time, so it’s something I can fully focus on and relax while I’m at it.
I have a husky, and we spend a lot of time together on walks, which is one of my favourite activities. Other than that I read a lot of books, watch TV series, love browsing through the Internet in search of some funny content for the day; you know – things most of us enjoy after a long day.
What’s your next step or a few goals you’d like to accomplish?
When it comes to Miquido, I guess I’d like to make the process of handling projects go even more smoothly and to improve the overall communication at the company. I’d like for every employee to be informed exactly about what’s happening, what we’re aiming at, and so on.
As for my private life? I guess I want to have as much fun as I do now. And never fully grow up.
How would you define success in life?
I’d say it’s about being sure that you’re in the place you truly want to be at the time, being satisfied with it, and not getting too stressed about what’s next. Or to be able to balance a healthy amount of stress with fun.
What’s your favourite spot to travel to?
It would have to be the United States, mostly because of nature. There’s a lot to see there, like reserves and national parks, which I really like. Plus, the people are so different from one another, so it’s great to get to know them.
I also like Italy because of my love for great food. And when it comes to my home country, Poland, the seaside is an awesome place to visit. I go there at least three times a year.
If given a chance, who would you like to be for one day?
I think I’d like to be someone in the staff of the White House or 10 Downing Street – the places where important decisions for all of us are being made, just to see how the world of great politics works.
What’s a thing you absolutely can’t live without?
Good food!
