He either laughs or makes others laugh. It's hard to imagine a day without his jokes. And when you think that he spent the day just making fun and jokes and that he probably didn't manage to finish any of his obligations, he will surprise you.

What’s your role at Ankora?

My current position at Ankora INC is front-end development. At the beginning of my career, I worked as a CMS developer. As I progressed and learned more, I decided to redirect my work towards new and more complex technologies like Angular and React.

I never leave a single day without learning something new. The profession we practice requires us to always be up to date with the latest trends in science.

Why front-end? One of the main reasons is because the possibility of perceiving my work and seeing the end result brings me much joy. I definitely want to upgrade my knowledge and experience in the future.

What do you think makes you most effective as a front-end developer?

My biggest strength is the ability to adapt really fast to different situations and tasks. Also, I am able to learn new technologies fast. I consider myself to be very responsible in executing tasks and meeting deadlines on every given project.

In addition to all this, I think my biggest advantage is that I sincerely love my job and enjoy every working day. I don’t run away from challenges and I like to tackle demanding things.

What have you gained from working at Ankora?

My job at Ankora INC introduced me to a lot of new and positive friendships. Besides that, Ankora INC offered me a lot of education in technical terms and helped me understand teamwork better and how to correlate in a large company.

A big list of diverse projects that I have worked on had beneficial effects on my development and I think that it is very important that Ankora INC always tends to work with the latest technologies and that they encourage me to learn new things.

Of course, in addition to business things, I had the opportunity to learn many life lessons.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

In the last couple of months, my main point of interest has been a healthy lifestyle and hiking.

Recently I started learning more about nutrition, cooking, and a healthy lifestyle.

What I especially enjoy is cooking and making my own meals after my workouts.

My daily routine is to wake up early, go to work and after work, I spend most of my time at the gym and relaxing in wellness spas.

I live in Sarajevo which is surrounded by a few beautiful Olympic mountains. My closest friends and I spend our weekends hiking in the mountains around the city. Time spent in nature I believe makes one relaxed and relieves daily stress.

I think it is necessary to enjoy free time and rest well. So I use every hour out of work to spend it in the best way possible.

What has been your favorite project at Ankora?

My favorite project I've been working on for over a year is a Digital Health-oriented project. It was very challenging to work on that project during the COVID-19 pandemic and develop a lot of things that we're helping people at the time.

It's a great project made up of a great team of people so through that project I met a lot of new people and made new experiences. On this project, I found partners and colleagues similar to me, with whom, in addition to work, I also remained friends.

I think it’s a great success and a great value for me.

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?

In a case that I got stuck on an island, to increase my chance of survival these would be the following things I’d bring with me.

Knife - It is a multipurpose tool that can be used for defending, hunting, preparing meals, and getting resources like wood, coconuts, etc.

Flashlight - Like most people, I am afraid of the unknown and the dark so a flashlight would be an amazing item to have with me. I can also use it to scare away night animals and other predators.

A bottle of sunblock - Last but not least, maybe the most important of all items is a bottle of sunblock. Now, maybe some of you are wondering why sunblock is the most important item. If I get some sunburns, how am I going to sleep at night?
