How I became Software Tester

It’s time to meet the Software Tester, Jovana!

How did you first learn about Bild Studio?

I heard about Bild Studio in my first years of college. Some of the owners went to the same university as I, and we knew each other from the university hallway.

A few years later some of my colleagues were already starting internships with them. I was able to follow the company's growth from the beginning.

It was a pleasure to watch the progress and success of a couple of young guys who worked with a lot of will, effort and enthusiasm.

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

I am a big fan of Moto GP so when the season starts, Sunday is reserved for watching the race, no matter where I am. I had the opportunity to watch a couple of races live and that is the best experience I've ever had.

Also, I love to explore new places, hikes, skis, and every kind of active vacation.

One of the usual daily activities after work is hanging out with people I love.

Why did you join Bild Studio, and what has kept you here?

This is an interesting story.

At that time I quit my last job and was looking for a new one, I wanted to get a job in the profession and I was very attracted to front-end programming.

On the recommendation of a friend who has already worked at Bild Studio, I applied for the position of a front-end developer.

However, when I got to the interview, that position was already filled and the guys offered me the position of a software tester.

Although I had no experience in that role, I accepted the challenge and it turned out to be a good decision.

Today, seven years later, I am still here, I am still satisfied and grateful for all the support and opportunities that the company has given me to advance in my career.

How do you balance your career at Bild Studio and friends & family?

From the very beginning, this was very easy.

I became very good friends with many people who work in the Bild studio. Most of us have similar views on life. They quickly integrated and fit into my friends and family.

We celebrate all the important dates together and we are very happy about every gathering together.

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

My day is very intensive. I am working closely with developers, colleagues from the testing department, and the project manager.

Some developers like to say that I am responsible for raising morale and working atmosphere :D it’s a big compliment to me and it makes me work better.

What that exactly means: Each day besides planned application testing, I manage and assign bugs/tasks to developers, track their progress and communicate with other testers and managers about tasks and customer wishes.

What do you like most about Bild Studio?

Definitely and without any doubt that are: People.
