Meet Damijan, our creative mastermind and lead UX/UI designer. Having more than 13 years of experience in his field, his vision and seniority are opening up a new chapter for HiGroup.

What do you find to be the most exciting aspect of HiGroup?

To be a part of a young, talented, high quality-driven, energized and especially open-minded team. Usually, great stories are written by those kinds of people and I like great stories :)

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

To make difficult things feel easy to understand, visually :)

If you could turn HiGroup into a movie poster, what would it look like?

A mix between Friends series, Mission impossible and Matrix :D

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

Right now my main hobby is coffee tasting, cupping etc. After some time I hope I will start with my own roastery besides work :)

What sparks joy for you?

Carefully crafted designs, art and products. And also a good cup of speciality coffee made on E1 Prima :D

What was a moment in your life when you felt really proud?

Those were and are many, but the recent one is the most important one: my little daughter <3

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?

I am really focused on the future, soo if anything, maybe building a time machine :D?

What is the best vacation you’ve been to?

Iceland, where nature shows you how small your problems are and how big “she” is. When you are sleeping on a -10C in a tent and see that wind is so strong that it literally breaks your tent apart.

What's your favourite line from a movie?

“Assumption is the Mother of All Fuckups”: Under Siege (bad story great script)

Can relate to that in social life or work as a UX designer. If you are not sure about something just ask, don't assume!
