Time to meet the Project Manager at Digitalya OPS, Daniel!

Describe what you were like at age 10.

I was a geek! I loved to read and to spend time by myself.

During summers I was visiting my grandmother in a village in South of Moldova - the TV was working from 5 PM to 11 PM and there were cartoons only at 9 PM.

So my only distraction was to read. I took it seriously and read all the newspapers, all the books in Cyrillic and then I discovered the local Library. I was visiting very often, probably too often. I remember the librarian being almost scared at some point because I almost finished all the books in my age category, even the Russian ones.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

I play with my daughter!

Princesses drinking tea, medieval chevaliers fighting dragons, building cities of the future using Magna tiles, or Noah's arches for all our Schleich animal collections.

Well, sometimes I also have to answer tough questions like "what does happiness mean?", "how many stars are there?", and "why can't there be 2 "me" like there were two Twilight Sparkles in the last My little pony episode?". And of course, I have to study for that.

I love reading, walking, running, and spending time with my loved ones.

What has been your favourite project at Digitalya?

We have a marketing platform for a pharma company. It is a great environment and we are involved both in the development part and in the business growth.

There are a lot of things to learn on business and on tech sides, plus super great people!

What advice do you have for prospective Digitalya candidates?

Be yourself! We are very different people here and, probably one thing that covers us all is that we are open and interested in each other.

If you were an animal what would you be?

a hawk - it's nice to spend time by myself, in the heights and then going down with an extreme speed.

It reminds me of a line I heard in a podcast during my walk: "the bad news is you are falling between the clouds, the good news is there is no ground".

Why did you join Digitalya, and what has kept you here?

I wanted to work in a flexible environment with nice people and interesting projects.

Here we can grow in different directions, I'm a PM, I help on the dev side when needed, I write articles for our content culture... There is infinite space to try and develop whatever skill I want.
