Time to meet the Product Designer at Tapptitude, Sasha!

Why did you join Tapptitude, and what has kept you here?

I joined Tapp because of the people almost seven years ago, and have been with the squad ever since. Incredible, right? That’s what I kept saying to myself as well.

It was hard to believe how fast the years went by, but you know what they say: “Time flies when you do what you love”. That’s precisely what I’ve been doing here all these years. I never stopped growing and exploring alongside the fantastic people that make Tapptitude what it is today.

Throwback to the days when it all started. Casual mornings at the office.

What drew you to product? Have you always worked in design roles?

I haven’t always worked, nor have I dreamed about becoming a Product Designer. It just happened that way.

While attending the faculty of Business Administration, I was working in parallel as a customer support representative at Warner Bros. It was then that I realized that a corporation has no soul in it. The team was huge, and the interpersonal relations were absent.

I have left that company on a journey to find myself and the things I like the most. I have finished the university and I was doing an MBA. During that time, I attended a design course, where I learned everything about design: from color theory and typography to user research and product design. With the inspiration from my father, an architect, it was love at first sight.

I didn’t stop there. For half a year, I studied at the faculty of computer graphics, where I dived deeper into product psychology, user interfaces, and building graphic languages.

Ten years later, here I am…

How has Tapptitude helped you in your career development?

The main aspect I love about being at Tapptitude, is that I am always encouraged to step up.

I started as a Graphic Design intern; completed a Growth Marketing Academy alongside our CEO, Gabriel Dombri; after which I took on some marketing responsibilities. When I gained enough confidence, I started working on internal product strategies and design before gaining the confidence to get into proper Product Design.

Next thing you know, I was delivering a couple of client products at a time and designing some of the biggest products that Tapp has ever worked on.

What have you gained from working at Tapptitude?

I have grown by an incredible amount since I’ve been with Tapp.

I have gained everything you could wish from a small company like that: experience, confidence, knowledge, great friends, a vast network of collaborators, and so much more.

The list can go on infinitely, but the seven years I’ve spent here says it all.

A bring-it-on attitude for any incoming challenge.

What has been your favorite project at Tapptitude?

My favorite project so far is one I feel attached to personally and professionally.

It is one of the fastest growing products in FaithTech, which we have worked on from day zero, and shaped to become the world-class product it is today.

Being with a product since day one and growing it to more than 10 million users in under 3 years is incredible. You go through all the stages and get into all the nitty-gritty of the product. It is now in a high growth stage, gaining almost 7% more users, week on week. We’ve improved and optimized all the possible conversion rates through the whole funnel, from the app store to onboarding and paying users.

I am now more confident in our skills than ever. We have what it takes to deliver on the highest levels globally.

What is on your wish list for the next 5 years with Tapptitude?

This is a chapter that yet has to be written, but the possibilities are endless.

I want to see Tapptitude grow to unimaginable heights, and I want to support the whole crew along that journey. I am looking forward to bringing my secret powers to the table and empowering the whole team to fly, build the next unicorns and discover other fantastic creatures.

It may sound a bit dreamy, but with Tapp everything is possible, and my story is living proof of it.
