Time to meet today’s star, the HR Manager at Codeus, Ksenija!

How do you balance your career at Codeus and friends & family?

Spending quality time with my family and friends is as important to me as being fully productive at work. I believe you can't achieve one without another.

I consider myself lucky to work in such an environment that allows me not only to feel relaxed and fulfilled at work, but leaves me enough time to keep the balance, and spend time with my family and friends.

Besides, each week at Codeus is ended with music, chatting, and relaxing time with my colleagues, so I'm free to say they are more than that. After these years, they've become my friends as well.

Why did you join Codeus, and what has kept you here?

I joined Codeus at the very beginning, I was among the first 5 employees, and I'm extremely happy that I had an opportunity to see their growth, and grow with them as well.

What's kept me here is definitely the team spirit and the healthy atmosphere at Codeus.

I believe that it is necessary to keep transparency, care, trust at the forefront if you want to create a workplace where everyone wants to be.

Taking into account that one of my responsibilities is to interview engineers, I'm really excited about meeting all of these extremely skilled people. It's definitely a treat to be a part of their 4x growth.

What do you find to be the most exciting aspect of Codeus?

Working for a company that's constantly growing can be quite a challenge when you are trying to keep an atmosphere where everyone is fully productive, yet fully satisfied.

Considering that my main responsibility is to choose not only highly skilled engineers, but people that will fit the team culture as well, I can say it's a unique challenge.

The most exciting aspect of Codeus is that I'm being constantly challenged, allowing me to grow both personally and professionally.

What is the best vacation you’ve been to?

I'm definitely an active vacation person. My last vacation was probably the best one as well. We went to Athens (It was my first time visiting the city, even though I've visited Greece a couple of times so far).

In the morning I was lying at the beach, and I ended each day visiting historical places that simply left me stunned.

The best part is that we visited the whole of Athens on a motorbike, and it was one of a kind experience.

How has Codeus helped you in your career development?

I can say that Codeus has shaped my career. When I first started, I didn't have any experience in this field. I'm lucky that Codeus has believed in my skills from the right beginning, and fast forward a few years, I've grown with them and I'm the one leading the HR team.

My biggest trait is that I've met dozens of highly experienced engineers who have previously (or at Codeus) coded solutions that are changing the world we live in.

In the era of digital transformation, the job of attracting the best talent is quite challenging. And I see every challenge as an opportunity for growth.

How do you spend your time outside of the office?

The older I get, the more I appreciate the time spent in nature. Probably the thing I like the most is hiking with my friends and family. Not only do I get to spend quality time with them, away from screens and social media, but I can also connect with nature.

Another thing that I believe is crucial for anyone's wellbeing is 'me-time'. Considering that I'm spending a lot of time with a lot of people, I like to dedicate a portion of my time to working on my personal development, taking care of myself, or just enjoying alone time.
