What do you like most about Hicron?

The best thing in Hicron is definitely a friendly atmosphere and simple structure. It helps to learn from one another and makes processes clear. I haven't had a situation in which I was left without help. More experienced developers share their knowledge with others in a friendly way. I have learnt a lot of new stuff from them! I also like that in the Hicron structure everyone knows his role and tasks to do. Communication with managers is clear and fast. If you have a problem to solve or a task to do, you can speak directly with somebody from every departaments without waiting and with no need for official forms.

Business side of Igor

Do you have any hobbies, go-to weekend activities, or long-term passion projects you’re working on?

Music is my hobby. I play violin since I was 6 years old. I love learning to play new instruments. As far I have learnt to play guitar, mandolin, ukulele, tuba, piano, banjo, mando-banjo, kalimba. I sing, write lyrics and compose songs in my music band Chrzan and in my solo project. Right now I'm working on my new album. I often play concerts. It gives me joy when people are touched by my songs. My favorite music genres are folk, alternative and sang poetry.

Describe what you were like at age 10.

When I was 10 years old I was a happy child spending every minute outside with my friends. We were mostly playing football matches, riding a bike, playing basketball or making jokes. I was very cheerful and creative. I liked school, because I loved being among people. I had a best friend with whom I spent most of the time. I only did not like attending to Music School. Now I love playing instruments and learning about music, but at that time classical music was boring to me and I definitely preferred rock music.

When are you the happiest?

I'm the happiest when I spend time with my wife and kids. I have a wonderful, loving and beautiful wife and two amazing daughters. Their names are Zosia and Antonina. They are 5 and 2 years old. I love them so much that every minute spent with them is for me a pure happiness. Nothing brings me more joy than watching them grow, play, create things. I love playing with them, making jokes, reading books. My family is everything to me.

Why did you join Hicron, and what has kept you here?

I joined Hicron because my friend recommended me. I used to work in a big corporation and I wanted to change something. My friend called me and told that in a project in which he is working, there is a job for a person with a profile like me. I was interested, so I applied. I liked job interview - it was in a friendly atmosphere. At that time I have met my future project manager and tech lead. I knew that these are the people I want to work with. I was right. Atmosphere, people, way of cooperation with customer, mutual respect, way of treating an employee - all this made me sure that I will stay with Hicron for longer time.

If you were an animal what would you be?

If I were an animal, I would be a dog. I'm friendly, I attached to people, I'm loyal. I like having fun and make jokes. Dogs like to eat everything and it brings them joy - that is exactly like me. I love going for a walk, being close to nature.
