Time to meet the Head of Business Development at Hicron, Krzysztof!

What have you gained from working at Hicron?

It has been ca. six months at Hicron now that I am writing this. Still, loads of things so far: (a) new friends, (b) deep practical knowledge on how two independent business units (ERP & custom software dev shop) can synergise to support customers, (c) explored effective off/nearshoring ROI-maximising collaboration models, (d) gained strategy definition and execution skills (e) adopted new IT vendor quality assurance techniques.

PS. I am and will remain thankful for all of it.

Do you have some favorite tools that make your job easier?

Affirmative. I use MS suite (excel heavy user), simple BI tools for basic data analytics, and Miro for synthesis and workflow definition when drawing up a strategy. Roam Research for notes and thought mapping changed how I think and work, Atlassian tools for project management, and CRM systems like Pipedrive and MS Dynamics for relationship management. For personal and/or side-project use: Zapier for basic automation, G-suite, and constantly testing new stuff from Product Hunt or AppSumo (e.g. different ways to adopt AI GPT-3 in, e.g. content creation, or automate repetitive tasks).

What is your definition of a healthy work environment? How do you spend your time outside of the office?

My take from the bottom of my ❤️, not an expert view for sure. An organisation that cares about people's well-being, where processes and leaders support efficient and meaningful work. I believe that "healthy" companies consider their actions' social and environmental impact. I might have gone overly utopian already, but I think it also means motivating, so it might be a good sign if one feels like going that extra mile.

TL;DR A place where one can meet their potential in a safe environment.

How did you first learn about Hicron?

They found and called me to discuss potential collaboration on a Hicron Software House business unit. So I started drilling by talking to some of my mates who knew the enterprise well from different viewpoints, added a workshop session and a recruitment process that included i.a.the CEO role. Since my first encounter was during a recruitment procedure, I was surprised by their trustworthiness and professionalism, so I decided to join.

Football & sports nerd. It takes approx. 40% of my spare time.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

Easy! As an astronaut, I would visit one of the nearest terrestrial exoplanets like Proxima Centauri b.

What would you do if you could not fail?

I would do parkour runs on skyscrapers, apply to Bayern Monachium, play on a number #10 position to assist Robert Lewandowski, and buy a lottery ticket!
