Time to meet the Customer Success Team Lead at Grapefruit, Iuliana!

What drew you to customer service? Have you always worked in such roles?

I have always been quite strategic in terms of planning and mapping my steps when I have a goal I wish to achieve. It's like a puzzle or strategy game :) Because it comes easy to me to make decisions and structure my activities, I find the project management role a very good fit. On top of that, wearing the hat of the team lead has been a great opportunity for me to have an impact on our business and customer experience overall.

How do you define success in life?

Balance is the magic word. For me, success is about striving to have good resilience when facing dissatisfaction; educating my mind to have a growth mindset. Family, friends and personal time is more important than trying to prove me to the world. These give me the energy and inspiration to do my daily job. My goal is to get joy out of the most things I do and enjoy life.

If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?

Daily revelations - talk about how my mind changed and who, what impacted me so that I became a different person in time. It's more about the power our human mind holds and how it shapes our reality.

What have you gained from working at Grapefruit?

Freedom of expression literally. I love freedom and having the opportunity to change things, work my decision-making abilities. I am part of a management team that gave me the liberty to have ownership of important initiatives and supported my work. Also, being at Grapefruit, I have gained friends and beautiful people in my life.

What do you find to be the most exciting aspect of Grapefruit?

The fact that we are an entrepreneurial, independent company it's a challenge because we have the liberty to adapt, yet we need to find the right business model but also build an operating system and workflow to be able to deliver very well and generate profit.

What are your primary responsibilities and what does your day-to-day look like?

My focus is twofold: client and team. Our Customer Success Team has both account managers and project managers who handle client work, so I partner with all of them in order to discuss challenges. We work together on specific workflow, internal processes. Sometimes, I also turn to my main job as a project manager or account manager to handle a specific project. Being part of the Leadership Team, I have additional initiatives I work on that are business-related.
